Supper CLub

Supper Club by Lara Williams

With Thanksgiving around the corner, food is always on my mind. This delicious novel is smart, funny and makes you hungry all at the same time! The book is about two women who start a secret underground supper club to champion feminism, eating with abandon and misbehaving all night long.

Someone We Know

Someone We Know by Shari Lapena

A nosy neighbor, a murder and a ton of deceit – what more could you ask for in the perfect thriller? This book should seriously be on everyone’s reading list – I personally have recommended this to at least three people already.

Permanent Record

Permanent Record by Mary H.K. Choi

This book is categorized at a YA novel but I absolutely loved it. I found the characters extremely relatable even though their situations were not. I also liked the pace of the novel, it didn’t drag on or get dull at any point. There is romance, New York and

The Second-Worst Restaurant in France

The Second-Worst Restaurant in France by Alexander McCall Smith

Going along with the food theme, we follow a cookbook author to his village in France where the food should be amazing because… well… it’s France. If you are looking for a light-hearted and hilarious read – this book needs to be on your list!

The World That We Knew

The World That We Knew by Alice Hoffman (Coming September 24, 2019)

This book isn’t generally one I would pick out on my own but when I recieved it in the mail from Simon & Schuster Canada, I decided I would give it a chance. Once I started reading, I was immediately captivated by the story. In this book, you can expect adventure, girl power and a little bit of magic. Ultimately, the most remarkable part of the book is the mother-daughter relationship that drives the characters’ personal journies.
