This past weekend, my friends and I got together at our friend Devon’s house to carve pumpkins, barbecue and drink wine. One thing I love about Autumn is that we can still do activities outside such as pumpkin carvings. Some of my friends have serious talent! Take a look at these pumpkins! The highlight of … Continue reading Recipe Box: Halloween Punch Bowl featuring FRESH Wines
With Halloween just around the corner, I have really been feeling pumpkin-themed foods lately. Pumpkin cake, pumpkin lattes, mashed pumpkins – you had me at pumpkin! Additionally, with October 26 being National Pumpkin Day, what better way to commemorate our favourite harvest squash than with a recipe (and giveaway) in celebration of all things pumpkin? … Continue reading Recipe Box: Spiced Pumpkin Soup – a collaboration with Staub Canada and Elin.ca

Earlier this year, I did a wine tour to Niagara-on-the-Lake with the wine angels at iYellow Wine Club. This is not a "How To" post because I don't think there is ever a way to say goodbye to your pet - no matter how old they are. Today we had to say goodbye to our toy poodle, Mousse. Being the owner of a 20 year old dog, it was inevitable that this day … Continue reading Saying Goodbye to Your Pet
One of my favourite patio drinks is the Peach Bellini. I absolutely love the sweet peachy flavours in my summer cocktail. This past weekend, I hosted a wine slushy party with some of my close friends and made these peach bellini-inspired wine slushes. It was so easy to make and required only few ingredients: wine, ice, peaches and peach syrup. You can also make the ice out of wine to amp up the booziness!

I was ecstatic for this opportunity to see what a small town in Ontario would look like! The drive up to Port Hope was quick and … Continue reading Travelling to Port Hope: A Weekend in Ontario’s Favourite Small Town
One of my favourite weekend activities is strolling along Queen St with my fur baby, Mousse - we would slowly wander through all of the stores and boutiques until we eventually made our way to Nugateau 🥖 where we would pick out a box of eclairs to bring to family dinners! Our little pastries would always … Continue reading Nugateau Eclair Giveaway
For those of you who know me in person, you'll know that I am a self-proclaimed Padawan whisky nerd (Star Wars reference). That is why I was absolutely thrilled when Wayne Gretzky Estate invited me to a tour of their distillery. Wayne Gretzky Estate is an award winning winery and distillery in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Their most … Continue reading Wayne Gretzky Estate: A Distillery Tour
Poke (pronounced: poh-kei; rhymes with "okay") is a Hawaiian fish salad made with cubed raw seafood (typically octopus or ahi tuna). Contrary to popular belief, poke is not always served on rice or lettuce - the seafood can also be served on it's own with seasoning. In the past few years, North America has adapted … Continue reading Food Trends: Poke Bowls
