Now that I’m pregnant, I can no longer get away with skipping breakfast in the mornings. I mean, baby has to eat! If you work with me, you’ll know that mornings are just not my thing! This past weekend, my friends and I got together at our friend Devon’s house to carve pumpkins, barbecue and drink wine. Earlier this year, I did a wine tour to Niagara-on-the-Lake with the wine angels at iYellow Wine Club. Recipe Box: Frozen Peach Wine Slush (Bellini)
One of my favourite patio drinks is the Peach Bellini. I absolutely love the sweet peachy flavours in my summer cocktail. This past weekend, I hosted a wine slushy party with some of my close friends and made these peach bellini-inspired wine slushes. It was so easy to make and required only few ingredients: wine, ice, peaches and peach syrup. You can also make the ice out of wine to amp up the booziness!

Food Trends: Poke Bowls
Poke (pronounced: poh-kei; rhymes with "okay") is a Hawaiian fish salad made with cubed raw seafood (typically octopus or ahi tuna). Contrary to popular belief, poke is not always served on rice or lettuce - the seafood can also be served on it's own with seasoning. In the past few years, North America has adapted … Continue reading Food Trends: Poke Bowls
Malt Collective: Collingwood Double Barrel
I should start this off with some full disclosure: I'm a fan of Collingwood. I know, that's sort of an unpopular opinion among whisky snobs but if you think about it, you've probably had much worse. Collingwood has been pretty consistent in taste over the few years I've been drinking it and by my books, … Continue reading Malt Collective: Collingwood Double Barrel
